Church Opportunity Group
This is a group of West Des Moines churches united in Christian service to the community.
Family Fellowship Groups
Families, faith and FUN! That is what Family Fellowship Ministry is all about. By joining a Family Fellowship group, families will be placed in a group with about 5-8 other families to share in friendship and support.
Funeral Luncheon Ministry
The parish provides a luncheon for the family and for those attending the funeral. Parishioners who volunteer to help at funeral luncheons see first hand how grateful the families are and that the people who attend can feel the love and compassion extended to them by our parishioners.
Gardening Angels
The garden provides the Des Moines Area Religious Council’s food pantry with fresh produce throughout the summer.
Habitat for Humanity
Greater Des Moines Habitat for Humanity partners with God and all members of our community to build simple, decent housing which strengthens families and transforms neighborhoods through home ownership.
Homebound Ministry
Homebound Ministry serves those members of our church body who, due to physical limitations, are unable to attend church services regularly.
Homeless & Hungry
The Homeless and Hungry Committee at St. Francis of Assisi offers parishioners the opportunity to assist homeless and hungry people in the greater Des Moines area.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
A Prayer Shawl is a hand crafted knitted or crochet shawl that is given to an individual who is in need of prayer, hope, comfort and love. The purpose of the shawl is to let the recipient know that they are being thought of and prayed for in difficult times. This ministry of making and giving shawls serves as a gesture of love in difficult times.
Rosary
The Rosary offers our members a chance to learn and pray with other members.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry is a one-to-one lay caring ministry providing high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people experiencing loss or dramatic changes in their lives.
