St. Francis of Assisi Catholic School today learned that it has been designated a 2020 recipient of the National Blue Ribbon Award as an Exemplary High Performing School. The National Blue Ribbon Award is a program part of the U.S. Department of Education.

Receipt of this award is based on a school’s overall academic performance. The Exemplary High Performing designation for a non-public school recognizes those institutions whose students have tested among the top 15 percent in English and mathematics nationally as measured by state assessments.

This award affirms the hard work and character of the St. Francis School faculty and staff who continuously strive toward an environment of excellence—a culture which is built and cultivated around the school’s mission: to provide a Christ-centered environment that promotes developing our students academically, physically and spiritually.

The National Blue Ribbon Award can only be applied for every five years. St. Francis School last received this award in 2014.
