By Deacon  Oran

I pray always with joy in my every prayer for all of you because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. I am confident of this: that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus. God is my witness, how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

And this is my prayer: that your love may increase ever more in knowledge and every kind of perception, so that you may discern what is of value and be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ for the glory and praise of God. (Philippians 1:4-6, 8-11)

As we journey through the season of Advent, waiting for Christ to come, let us pause and reflect on what we are truly waiting for.

Are you waiting to reunite with loved ones? To see someone’s joy as they open a gift you chose with care? Or perhaps to experience the love and warmth of the season?

Take a moment to recall the time you said yes to Jesus—when you opened your heart to Him and welcomed Him in. If you haven’t yet made that decision, Advent is the perfect time to do so.

Pray with sincerity: “Jesus, you are my Savior and Redeemer. Please come into my heart this Advent season and fill it with Your love. Take my heart, take all of me.

The greatest gift you can receive this Christmas is Jesus Himself. Ask Him to continue the work He began in you and let His love transform your life.
