Children’s Faith Formation (preschool through grade 5)
Beginning this fall, Faith Formation for our PreK-5th grade students will once more return to a weekly format held on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00 pm here at the parish. While this change signals a return to a previous offering, we will continue to maintain the parent sessions as a positive fruit from the Family Formation model. These parent sessions will be held monthly and all parents whose children are enrolled in our weekly PreK-5th grade program are asked to attend these sessions. PreK children should be at least 3 and potty trained by September 15, 2024.

Parent Sessions
Are parents required to attend the parent sessions?
One of the most common reasons parents enroll their children in Faith Formation is because they want their child to continue practicing the faith into adulthood. Studies show, however, that if faith is not practiced at home regularly by the parents, the likelihood of children remaining Catholic into adulthood is minimal. Our parent sessions are designed to help you wrestle with, embrace, and thereby transmit the faith. Parent sessions for those with children enrolled in our PreK-5th grade Children’s Faith Formation are required. These sessions will occur on most First Wednesdays with some variation necessary due to holidays (see the calendar).
Do both parents need to attend the parent session?
No, only one parent is required to attend the parent sessions and both parents are more than welcome to attend. Limited childcare will be available during parent sessions for families with young children.
